Tim Georgeson

Tim Georgeson

Tim spend most of his youth trying to tame the waves at Sydney’s famous Whale Beach (and avoiding becoming snack food for great whites). Between waves, he couldn’t avoid gazing at the horizon and asking himself what laid beyond. A natural curiosity led this visual artist to a life of travel and adventure. Both filmmaker and photographer, Tim knows how to create pieces that are imaginative and provocative. His experience shooting in disaster zones, rock concerts and on the streets of the world has given him unique insights into the human condition to be that rare creative force who will push boundaries in a time of digital change and media free-fall. His reputation for creating emotionally stirring work has been celebrated in the media, the arts and the commercial world with multiple World Press Photo Awards, Leica Camera, ICP New York, National Geographic awards, Arles and Cannes and many other art and advertising awards and by inclusion in private and museum permanent collections internationally. His artwork has been shown in solo and group exhibitions Internationally, France, UK, Japan, Holland, Canada, US and Australia. His work is in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and held in many private collections.
